A Stroll Down Jacey Lane

So my best friend Bailee had no idea that I was getting in yesterday. I had told her I would be getting in on the 22nd. I hadn't told any of my friends when I'd be getting in! So last night I showed up at her house and surprised her with my appearance! It's crazy how much you can miss a friend. 6 months is too long to have to go without us seeing each other! We talked for forever, and then decided to go and surprise a few more people that night. We drove over to surprise our friend Sarah while she was studying :) I loveddd seeing Sarah and having her catch me up on things going on. She is like a little sister to me. It's so good to see these wonderful people! And of course me and Bailee hung out and had a girls night for the rest of the evening just talking about everythinggg and watching a movie!  It feels so good to be reunited with my best friend!

As school is kinda difficult right now and some things just seem impossible, I stumbled upon this note that I found from my physical therapist back home... quite perfect timing to find it really When I got this piece of paper a year ago, I didn't even see this note on the back of it at first. I was having a hard time at physical therapy one day and was talking with Dr. Phil(yes my PT's name was Dr. Phil... and he was bald) about how hard it was to play sports with my leg so messed up... none of the doctors I had seen knew what was wrong... I told him how much I wanted to play but felt like I couldn't do it anymore... it hurt. I felt so pressured by people to pursue college soccer... and trust me I wanted it... but it felt like no one understood the pain I felt when I played, or even just when I walked.  I told him how hard the decision to not play in college was for me, because it was a huge piece of my life... I was heartbroken...  He just sat and listen

Last week we went  tubing!  Down the Provo River... I think.. I'm still not very good at locations in Utah yet. Oh well, wherever we tubed, it was  GREAT! Who knew that you could go to a tire store and buy a blown up tire tube for going down the river?! Not me! But that's what we did! And it was cheaper than renting one, plus the additional bonus of owning your own tube for future adventures. My tube now currently sits in my apartment, also making a really good seat for chillin in! haha gotta use what ya got! Kay and the water...  FREEZING!!  HOLEY MOLEY! It was the kind of cold that made your butt hurt! It wasn't until our lower halves were completely numb that we couldn't notice the freezing water anymore haha, but thank goodness the sun was out in full power that day so we didn't completely freeze! Adventures with great people and beautiful scenery outdoors are always the best! Hilarious times losing shoes, getting stuck in whirlpools, and at the end

Moving out to Utah was a huge decision! And it is far away from my family... 2,000 miles far away to be pretty accurate. But it's where I needed to end up to open up the next chapter of my life! We packed up the family car, and Drove ... yeah.. we drove.. 2,000 miles.. to Orem, Utah.. LONGEST TRIP OF MY LIFE. This is the last picture I took from my little small town back in Kentucky. Look it up, it was voted The Most Beautiful Small Town in America . My last walk down main street before I left it. Never thought that i'd miss this little town, but I'm on to new things :)  These two pictures were  THE WORST  part of the journey, don't let the pretty pictures deceive you.... Kansas... holy moley... Kansas  NEVER  ended. And it was all flat boring farmland. No cities. No nothing. No exaggeration, Kansas felt like an eternity to get through. Not to mention we got attacked by a huge hail storm with jumbo hail bouncing all off of our car in a Walmart parkin

I'm Jacey Lane , (hence the name of the blog).  I made a DRASTIC change and moved 2,000 miles west to Utah for 4 loooong years for school! But then get this... I moved allllll the way to Utah.... just to fall in love with a Kentucky boy, get married, and then move  back  to good ole KY to finish our schooling here!
